Mertzon woman dies in crash near Barnhart

A dark country road just after midnight Sunday was the scene of a three-vehicle collision that killed a Mertzon woman. Jeannetta Lea Everett, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene on U.S. 67, 3.5 miles west of Barnhart, a center of oil field activity.
